Dr. Edward Shin, BScH, BEd, DAc, DC
Chiropractor / Acupuncture Provider
Dr. Shin graduated from the Queen’s University at Kingston with a Bachelor of Science with Honour’s degree in Life Sciences in 2002 and studied concurrently obtaining a Bachelor of Education degree in 2003. Subsequent to his education at Queen’s he graduated from the 4-year Doctor of Chiropractic degree program from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2008. He is also certified to provide acupuncture and is a graduate of the McMaster University Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program. Dr. Shin has been in private practice in the Toronto area since graduation and makes this his home. His area of specialty focuses on spinal health along with physical medicine & rehabilitation.
Dr. Shadi Fattahi, B.Sc, D.C
Chiropractor / Acupuncture Provider
Dr. Fattahi is a Chiropractor and Acupuncture provider with special training, interest, and knowledge in sports-related injuries, jaw and facial pain, neck pain/headaches, and other musculoskeletal injuries. Furthermore, she has experience treating pregnancy and postpartum-related musculoskeletal pain.
She holds her chiropractic degree from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College; she has also completed her certification in neurofunctional acupuncture from McMaster University. Before her chiropractic education, she graduated from York University with honors Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences. She has completed a certification in the Evaluation and treatment of temporomandibular disorders utilizing neuroanatomical acupuncture approach. Her passion for chiropractic and kinesiology sparked from her interests in fitness and living a healthy/balanced lifestyle.
Dr. Fattahi believes each individual is unique and is determined to provide tailored treatment plans specific to her patients. She uses an evidence-based approach in her practice. Some of her treatments include manipulation/mobilization, soft tissue therapy, acupuncture/cupping, rehabilitation, and lifestyle advice.
When she is not in the clinic helping her patients Dr. Fattahi utilizes her off time by staying healthy and active. She loves running, weight training, spinning, and yoga as forms of exercise. Dr. Shadi enjoys reading books and spending time with her family and friends to unwind and relax.
Dr. Ryan Nolan, D.C
Chiropractor / Acupuncture Provider
Dr. Nolan graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts, with honors specialization in Kinesiology. He went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2019. Through the college, he also received a certificate in Functional Integrative Acupuncture for sports-related injuries and chronic pain.
Dr. Nolan uses evidence-based research to help direct treatment plans specific to patients’ pain, lifestyle demands, and current physical capabilities He is also a strong-advocate for inter-professional collaboration to deliver the highest standard of patient cantered care.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Nolan continues to pursue a professional lacrosse career and coach “AAA” level minor hockey in the GTA. Through his experience with sport, he brings a strong understanding of physical fitness, injury prevention and goal-orientated rehabilitation to our practice.
Dr. Karthigan Puvanendran, HBSc, DC
Chiropractor / Acupuncture Provider
Dr. Karthigan Puvanendran graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College Cum Laude. Prior to his postgraduate studies, he completed his undergraduate degree in Honours Kinesiology with co-op at the University of Waterloo. He has a passion for exercise, health, and wellness. He has treated all types of injuries but helping patients with shoulder, knee and spinal injuries has sparked a more profound interest for him.
Growing up, Dr. Karthigan Puvanendran has always been involved in sports playing recreational soccer, volleyball, and basketball. His interest in sports and overcoming his own personal injuries has taught him the importance of rehab and recovery leading to better performance. He prioritizes looking at the body as a whole to get to the root problem and help patients reach their health and wellness goals.
Dr. Karthigan Puvanendran is an advocate for evidence-based care where he tailors each treatment to meet the needs of the patient’s goals. His treatment consists of techniques such as instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy, myofascial release techniques, manipulations, mobilizations, rehabilitation exercises, patient education, and lifestyle modifications. Dr. Karthigan Puvanendran plans to broaden his skill set by pursuing his Medical Acupuncture and Kinesio-taping certifications in the near future.
When Dr. Karthigan Puvanendran is not in the office, you can find him going on hikes exploring the city, playing recreational sports, or spending time eating and catching up with his family and friends.
Dr. Gabriella DeBono

Dr. Gabriella DeBono is a Chiropractor and Acupuncture provider who will prioritize your needs throughout the entirety of your rehabilitative journey. Using an evidence-based approach to care, Dr. DeBono’s treatments may include mobilization, manipulation, soft tissue therapy, acupuncture, exercise, and most importantly, lifestyle guidance to keep you in control of your life and doing the things you love to do!
Dr. DeBono graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) and is now completing her Sports Sciences Residency- allowing her to specialize in sport-chiropractic care. With a keen interest in helping young athletes maximize their potential while remaining healthy, Dr. DeBono prioritizes sustainable, life-long habits personalized to each patient.
When she isn’t in clinic or working on her post-grad studies at CMCC, she enjoys all types of exercise (yoga, running, weight training) and spending time with her family, friends, and pets!
Adrian Wong, BSc (Hons), DCh
Chiropodist / Foot Specialist
Adrian graduated from the University of Toronto in 2008 and received a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in Human Biology. After having volunteered at the Mayo Clinic Hospital, Adrian realized his interest was in the health care field providing care for individuals in need. Adrian graduated from Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences in 2012 with a designation in Chiropody/Podiatric Medicine.
Adrian’s clinical exposure included Women’s College Hospital Wound Clinic, Hamilton Urban Core Community Health Centre, Flemingdon Community Health Centre, Newmarket Evidence Based Foot Clinic, and The Complete Foot Health Clinic.
Adrian is currently a registered member of the College of Chiropodists of Ontario, Ontario Society of Chiropodists, and the American Podiatric Medicine Association.
Swati Jogani
Physiotherapy Resident (Ontario, Canada)
Swati Jogani is a registered physiotherapist with a bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy from Sumandeep University, India. Her internship at a multispecialty hospital provided her with diverse experience in both inpatient and outpatient physiotherapy, including orthopedic, neurological, pediatric, and spine cases.
With a keen focus on spine patients and orthopedic conditions, Swati has honed her skills through varied clinical settings. Her expertise lies in providing comprehensive care tailored to each individual’s needs, ensuring optimal recovery and improved quality of life.
Swati is passionate about helping her patients achieve their health goals and is dedicated to continuous learning and professional growth to provide the highest quality of care.
Hiral Patel
Physiotherapist
Hiral Patel is a licensed physiotherapy resident practicing in Ontario, Canada. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy from Charusat University in India and has extensive experience working in various clinics in India, specializing in orthopaedics, neurology, and pediatrics.
Since moving to Canada, Hiral has been working in long-term care, developing and implementing treatment plans that involve exercise prescription, electrotherapeutic modalities like thermotherapy and cryotherapy, as well as patient education to enhance independence, mobility, and overall quality of life.
Aside from her clinical skills, Hiral is dedicated to educating her patients on injury prevention and self-management techniques. Her patient-centered approach to physiotherapy underscores her commitment to staying updated on the latest techniques and practices in the field to deliver the highest quality of care.
Nisha Kumar, BSc, PT
Physiotherapist
Nisha Kumar graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy. She also has a Diploma in Geriatric care and a Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga Therapy. She started her career as a Physiotherapist by working in various hospitals in India and Saudi Arabia. She continued her courses with Thompson Rivers, Ryerson University, and University of Toronto in Canada. Nisha is a Licensed Physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
Her treatment incorporates Client Education, Modalities, Exercise prescription, Manual techniques, Soft tissue release, Cupping, IASTM, Taping, Post-Cesarean Rehab, Injury prevention strategies and Active Rehab Program so that they can return to, and maintain their optimal functionality. Nisha is passionate about offering the best treatment techniques to patients and is constantly learning the latest rehabilitation skills through physiotherapy post-graduate training courses.
Hamid Sadeghian, PT
Physiotherapist
Hamid Sadeghian graduated with his bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy in 1992 from Iran. He is a licensed physiotherapist with the college of physiotherapy of Ontario since 2003. He has taken post-graduate advanced training in Manual Therapy and post graduate courses in acupuncture and many other orthopedic and soft- tissue management courses.
Hamid is constantly learning and practicing the latest rehabilitation skills. He has the experience of working many years in different physiotherapy fields along with providing mentorship for physiotherapy students/residents.He provides treatments incorporated with hands on approach, exercise, education, modalities and acupuncture.
Nenad Andrejic
Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)
Nenad is a graduate from the ICT Kikkawa College of Massage Therapy where he received his diploma in 2001. Ever since then, he has been continuously working as a registered massage therapist.
Over the years, he has treated many patients with a wide variety of medical conditions that include chronic and acute pain, motor vehicle accidents (MVA), pain resulting from sports injuries as well as other types of injuries. Modalities that he offers includes Thai Massage, Indian Head Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release Techniques, Swedish Massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Status Pressure, Cross Fibre Friction, Fascial or Connective Tissue Technique, Joint Mobilization, Hydrotherapy Application, as well as Remedial Exercise Program.
Nenad has great interest in preventative medicine as well as health for body and mind. His main priority is to provide a safe and comfortable experience for his clients and believes that people of all ages can benefit from the advantages that massage therapy provides.
May Azucena
Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)
May Azucena, RMT was certified by the College of Massage Therapist of Ontario on November 2006 to be eligible to call her herself the title RMT (Registered Massage Therapist). She has been an RMT since 2006 and has been part of Integrated Health & Wellness Centre for 14 years.
Over the years of rendering treatment to her clients, she has effectively developed her techniques in Swedish and Deep Tissue massage. Likewise, she has gained experience in treating conditions such as sports-related, overuse-related, and stress-related injuries. Furthermore, she has addressed different complaints of pain due to improper posture, whiplash, headache, pregnancy, and arthritis.
With her knowledge and skills, May Azucena has efficiently and effectively performed the profession and continues to be passionate to help anyone who will seek relief from pain and hopefully improve their quality of life through the holistic approach of massage therapy. Hence, she will continue to believe that “prevention is better than cure”.
Kevin Guevara, Canfitpro-PTS

Kevin is a graduate from Centennial College for Massage Therapy and Humber College for Fitness and Health Promotion. He has treated many patients from all age groups and with the use of his knowledge and assessment tools, he can help optimize his patient’s health and achieve their goals. Modalities that he can provide in his treatment plans are Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Joint Mobilization, Sports massage, and Hydrotherapy. Kevin is a certified CanFit Pro Personal Trainer and providing remedial exercises can be an effective tool in recovering or preventing future injuries for the patients.
Kevin has volunteered at numerous facilities such as Variety Village, Scarborough Hospital (Oncology), Toronto Pan Am Center and the Michael Garron Hospital. He has experience in treating orthopedic conditions such as Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Whiplash, Low Back Pain, Nerve Lesions and much more. When it comes to professionalism, Kevin believes that patients have the right to feel safe and comfortable towards their therapist. Kevin’s main priority is his patients needs where he will utilize specific tools and knowledge to create an effective treatment plan which is most beneficial to the patient.
Young-Hee Kim
Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)
Young-Hee is a graduate from Royal Canadian College of Massage Therapy where she received her RMT diploma in 2015. She has also obtained her Acupuncture certificate and diploma and is currently in the process of acquiring her Medical Esthetician diploma.
Young-Hee has worked in various clinic and spa locations where she amassed a great deal of expertise in her profession before joining us here at KIROMEDICA. She is an experienced massage therapist, who has treated a multitude of patients, each with their own unique needs in the treatment they require.
Common cases she encounters in her work includes dealing with any soreness, aches, and pains, reducing stress related tension, lower back pain, post injury rehabilitation and so on. Uniquely, she also provides post-pregnancy care that includes helping with breast-feeding and lochia, whole body circulation massage and shoulder & neck focused massage. Modalities that she can provide in her treatment include Gua Sha, Plastic cupping/fire cupping, venesection, moving cupping, needling, stone massage, moxa, ear acupuncture, and scalp massage.
Gabriel (Yao) Li
Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)
Gabriel is a registered massage therapist with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. He attended the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacology of Canada for two years before obtaining his Diploma in Registered Massage Therapy.
Since 2018, Gabriel has been practicing as an RMT with clinical experience. He applies a mix of therapeutic and relaxation techniques to alleviate stress that may arise from one’s daily life. Depending on the client’s needs, Gabriel emphasizes the use of deep tissue massage and trigger point release to effectively treat postural strain, joint and muscle pain, and myofascial pain. He often incorporates acupressure and Chinese Tuina techniques and is also well-versed in Swedish Massage to complement his treatment plans.
Gabriel is committed to continuing his education and learning new skills to provide his clients with the best possible care.
Jennifer Soullier

Jennifer graduated from Kikkawa College’s 2200hr Swedish Massage Therapy program in 2013. She has experience in dealing with a wide variety of complaints, from everyday aches and pains to the more complicated issues of low back pain, headaches, post-motor vehicle accident rehabilitation, and prenatal massage. Jennifer has also had experience in dealing with a wide variety demographics; from all age groups, including the young and young at heart; to the varying stages of health and mobility.

Jisu (Alice) Lee, Dip. Acu., R.Acu
Acupuncturist
Alice graduated from the Acupuncture program in 2020, along with the Physical and Occupational Therapy program with an honour of excellence. As a Registered Acupuncturist, she is especially sensitive and mindful towards patient’s goals, emotional factors, and lifestyle, and is considerate of an individual’s pain tolerance. She examines the body through a holistic lens and her clinical experience ranges from musculoskeletal pain, joint pain, digestive issues, gynaecological issues, stress and anxiety, insomnia, bowel movement issues, and other various conditions.
Her goal is to demolish the fear of acupuncture needles and to work together with patients, step by step to help understand their bodies and find balance in order to reach their goals.
She is actively expanding her knowledge and experience in the medical health and fitness field, continuing her studies at York University with the Specialized Honours BSc Program in Kinesiology and Health Science. She enjoys swimming, jogging, and dance as her primary means of staying physically active for her physical and mental health, as well as disease prevention.

Andreza Muller is a Registered Acupuncturist trained at Eight Branches College of Eastern Medicine, with postgraduate studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her journey into Acupuncture began with a profound personal experience that inspired her to pursue this path, allowing her to give back to the community through healing. Andreza finds fulfillment in helping clients experience the therapeutic benefits of acupuncture on their journey to wellness.
Andreza’s approach is both holistic and evidence-based, crafting personalized treatment plans that respect each patient’s unique pain tolerance and needs. She prioritizes compassion and a safe, welcoming environment, recognizing that healthcare experiences can vary, and is committed to inclusive care, especially for 2SLGBTQI+ individuals.
In addition to acupuncture and moxibustion, her diverse skill set includes cupping, gua sha, tuina, shiatsu, scalp massage, electro-acupuncture, ear seeds, and nutrition & lifestyle guidance based on Traditional Chinese Medicine principles.

Dr. Zahra Mashayekh
Naturopath
Dr. Zahra Mashayekh has a specialized background in Obstetrics-Gynecology, with extensive training in pelvic ultrasound, as well as basic and advanced laparoscopic surgery. Her personal experiences with poor diet, lifestyle choices, surgery, and medications motivated her to pursue this field. After 19 years of experience in Iran, she relocated to Canada in 2015. In 2017, she seized the opportunity to further her education in Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). Through this program, she expanded her knowledge in herbal and traditional Asian medicines, nutrition, lifestyle, and nutraceuticals.
Dr. Zahra takes great joy in assisting her patients, particularly women, in resolving their health concerns using her expertise in both conventional medicine and naturopathic approaches. Her patients span a wide range, from children and teenagers facing puberty-related issues to women dealing with age-related conditions like cardiovascular disease and menopause. Outside of her profession, Dr. Zahra cherishes moments spent with her family, being surrounded by nature, and witnessing her patients’ happiness, wellbeing, and satisfaction.
Joanne Pilon
Registered Psychotherapist
Joanne L. Pilon, M.A. (Education) is a Registered Psychotherapist and is a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists, and Psychotherapists. She obtained her Masters of Arts degree from Mount Saint Vincent University.
In her practice, she has provided assessments and psychotherapy to adults facing a diverse range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, as well as interpersonal and adjustment issues. Additionally, she specializes in offering cognitive-behavioral therapy to individuals experiencing chronic pain as a result of motor vehicle accidents or work-related injuries. She has been associated with the LifeMark CARF-accredited comprehensive/interdisciplinary chronic pain rehabilitation program since 2008.
As the owner and principal psychotherapist at Joanne L. Pilon Psychotherapeutic Services, she works with individuals, couples, and families. She is also a certified provider for Homewood Human Health Solutions, an international organization that offers short-term, problem-focused therapy to employees and their dependents.
